Blackhawks History 1926-now, Chicago Blackhawks; [NHL] 1921-1926, Regina Capitals; [WCHL] 1925-1925, Portland Rosebuds; [WCHL] Chicago Blackhawk’s are one of the original six teams of NHL and was established in September 1926. Chicago Blackhawk’s went to the top of Norris division and lost only semi-finals under Darryl Sutter as coach. Craig Hartsburg became the coach after Sutter. For Hawks 1997-98 season was a recession point in their history because they missed competitions for the first time after 1968. Coaching condition in Chicago was far away from establishment because Graham left after 59 games and Lorne Molleken and Alpo Suhonen were trying their hand at the job.
